Slifer Designs Wins Gold At ARDA Awards 2007 Ceremony
Edwards, CO, April 2, 2007 - Slifer Designs was awarded three Gold Awards and three Silver Awards for excellence in interior design for hospitality work on resort properties in the Vail Valley and Los Cabos, Mexico. The coveted Gold Awards, bestowed by the American Resort Development Association (ARDA), were received for The Residential Suites at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch, CO, the Cast Off Cabin, Brightwater Club in Gypsum, CO and Ultimate Resorts' private residence club in Los Cabos, Mexico.
ARDA (www.arda.org) is a national organization representing the vacation ownership and resort development industries and gives these awards to architects, designers and developers. The competition for ARDA's design excellence awards is very tight in all categories, according to the Slifer Designs' Vice President of hospitality interior design, Jim Dawkins AIA.
"Both national and international projects compete for recognition. All involve excellent design and execution, but only the very best win." said Dawkins. "We are proud of our hospitality design teams and their artistic excellence which allows Slifer Designs to compete and win at this level. We are also grateful to have worked with strong partners to execute these goals," Dawkins continues.
"This award is not only ours to celebrate, but also the developers, architects and builders including Zehren and Associates, Alm Archistects, CHC Mountain Structures, Ritz-Carlton, Brightwater Club and Ultimate Resorts. Congratulations are in order for everyone involved." Dawkins concludes.
Project Highlights
The Residential Suites at The Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch won in the "conversion" category, where 45 hotel rooms were converted to 25 vacation ownership suites.
